Paul Cassells CA (SA), RA
Paul qualified as a CA (SA) in 2011, having obtained his post-graduate degree from The University of Pretoria and completed his articles at PwC in Pretoria. He remained in the auditing profession with PwC in New Jersey, USA, before taking up a position in commerce in the global financial hub of London, working for the Royal Bank of Scotland. This was followed by a return home to Pretoria, remaining in the financial services sector where he plied his trade as a financial controller at Finbond Group Limited. Finally satisfied with his vast exposure to a wide range of industries and corporate cultures globally in various capacities, his versatility found a new home at MFG Accountants in 2016. His keen sense of adventure and love of the outdoors has seen him ride a bicycle 7,500km across the USA and paddle a kayak through five countries on the Danube River and he is always up for a challenge, both professionally and recreationally.
Coert Grobbelaar CA (SA), RA
Coert completed his articles at Cassells Accountants Inc. where he qualified as a CA (SA) in 2010. After his articles he furthered his career at KPMG, where he gained valuable experience until the opportunity presented itself for him to join McKay, Fahy and Associates in 2010, where he practised until the firm merged into MFG Accountants in 2012. Coert is an avid supporter of sports and enjoys the outdoors.
Paul Laesecke CA (SA)
Paul qualified as a CA (SA) in 1969 and has been practising in Pretoria ever since. He served as partner at BDO Spencer Steward until 2008 when McKay, Fahy and Associates was formed. Here he practised until they merged into MFG Accountants in 2012. Paul is a good golfer with a keen interest in wildlife management.
John McKay CA (SA)
John qualified as a CA (SA) in 1976. He has been practising in Pretoria since the early 1970's. He was one of the founders of BDO Spencer Steward Pretoria in 1986, where he served as Managing Partner and member of the National Executive Committee until he retired in 2003. He continued to act in the capacity of consultant at BDO Spencer Steward until 2008 when he formed McKay, Fahy and Associates, where he practised until they merged into MFG Accountants in 2012. John serves as board member to various charities and Non-Government Organisations.
